About the Band

The Mission of the Columbus Community Band is to provide high-quality and challenging musical experiences for its band participants while educating and entertaining the local community through live wind band music. We are dedicated to providing an opportunity for life-long musical expression and enjoyment, promoting artistic enrichment in our community, and preserving the rich repertoire and cultural history of the traditional wind band. CCB offers a friendly and relaxed atmosphere that unites its band participants through a common love of music and a drive towards the highest level of community band participation.
Since our foundation in 2020, and led by our founder and President, Dr. Anna Elkins Smith, the Columbus Community Band is open to all who share a passion for music. All of our members are dedicated to learning, performing, and sharing the joy of music with our friends and family. We welcome you to join us for a unique and rewarding musical experience.

Concerts and Events
Our band hosts concerts and performances for three seasons: Spring, Summer, and Winter - that feature a variety of musical styles, from classical masterpieces to popular favorites. These concerts are a highlight of our year and a great source of pride. We host our annual concerts at the Whiteville First Baptist Church. Rehearsals are held every Monday from 6:30pm-8:00pm. Come join us and experience the joy of music.
