Welcome to the Columbus Band! We are thrilled to introduce ourselves as a musical ensemble that was proudly established in the year 2020, thanks to the leadership of the talented Dr. Anna Elkins Smyth. From our inception, we have blossomed into a passionate and committed group of volunteer musicians who are deeply devoted to sharing the joy, beauty, and transformative power of music with our vibrant and diverse community. We wholeheartedly invite you to come and join us for our free performances, which are held throughout the year part of our exciting and engaging three concert seasons Spring, Summer, and Winter. It would truly be our greatest pleasure and delight to have your attendance at our concerts, and we are eagerly looking forward to the opportunity to welcome you at our next musical event. Together, let's celebrate the beauty of music and create lasting memories!

Community Band Events
Join us for our weekly rehearsals starting January 5th, 2026! We’re excited to get back together and continue our creative journey. Mark your calendars and get ready to dive back into fun! Rehearsals are held every Monday night at Whiteville First Baptist Church from 6:30pm-8:00pm.
Band Member Spotlight!
As we close out another year, it's time to reflect on incredible successes we've achieved together. From the highly praised Disney concerts in the Spring to the patriotic performances that brought us together in the Summer, and culminating in three wonderfully festive Holiday/Christmas concerts, we've created unforgettable moments. A heartfelt thank you to all our talented musicians, conductors, and supportive community for making this year truly special. Here's to even more magical experiences in the New Year!
